Do you want to make a real difference and contribute to a meaningful summer experience at the Tallmon care and nursing home? We are now looking for summer substitutes who are passionate about working with people and want to be part of Älvkarleby Municipality in the summer of 2026.

Here you will have the opportunity to work in an inspiring environment where engagement and community are in focus.

At Tallmon's care and nursing home, residents who need support in their daily lives reside. The facility has two somatic departments, one department for people with mental health issues, four dementia-focused departments, and a short-term department. About 70 nursing assistants, caregivers, and assistant unit managers work here.

Responsibilities

As a summer substitute at Tallmon, you play an important role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our residents.

Working in care and nursing is both fun and rewarding. Every day, you enhance the quality of life and make a difference for many people. For them, you are an important part of their daily lives, and their needs guide your workday. You assist with everything from personal hygiene to cooking, cleaning, and laundry. The work includes delegated tasks from the nurse, such as medication management. We work salutogenically and in close collaboration between units, and here you will have the chance to work with other substitutes and regular staff for those in need of your support and help.

Qualifications

It is important that you enjoy meeting, supporting, and helping other people. Being attentive, humble, and respectful of everyone's equal value are essential qualities. The work involves communication and documentation. Therefore, you need to master Swedish in both spoken and written form and be accustomed to using a computer.

If you have studied in the Nursing Program or have other education and experience that we assess as equivalent, this is meritorious.

Älvkarleby Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and knowledge of the Finnish language is an asset.

The work involves both day, evening, and weekend shifts, and may also include night shifts. We would like you to be able to work most of the summer so that both you and the organization can maintain continuity.

For work within Älvkarleby Municipality’s care operations, a criminal record extract is required.

Valid ID and right to work in Sweden
